Why Scarab Rust
Not a pitch. A list of things we commit to, written so you can hold us to each one.
Most server pages tell you they are the best. That is not information, it is noise, and everyone writes it. Below is the specific version instead: what we run, how we staff it, and what we publish. If we stop doing one of these, the page is wrong and you should say so.
Every ban is published on the record
The ban list is public, it appends continuously, and entries are never deleted. Every entry carries its date, its reason and the action taken.
We run our own anti-cheat
We do not discuss how it works, for the obvious reason. What we will do is publish the outcome: every ban goes on the public record.
Bans are reviewed before they are issued
A detection is evidence, not a verdict. A human reviews it before anyone is removed, which is slower and produces fewer wrong calls.
Appeals have a stated response time
You can appeal any ban, you get told how long a decision takes, and reversals stay visible on the record marked as reversed. A ban list with no reversals on it is not being reviewed.
The rules are written down
Conduct, cheating, teaming, chat and appeals, all published at one URL before you play rather than explained after you are banned. Read the rules.
Our staff team speaks over ten languages
This is the part nobody else offers. When you open a ticket or get into a dispute in game, you can do it in your own language instead of translating your side of an argument.
Admins are trained for months before they touch a server
Moderation is a skill, not a role you hand to whoever is online. Training covers evidence, escalation and the difference between a bad player and a cheating one.
Many of our admins have worked at the largest servers in Rust
They have seen the failure modes already, which is the difference between reacting to a problem and recognising it.
Admins are present in game, not only in Discord
A moderation team that only exists in a ticket queue finds out about problems hours late. Being on the server is how most of it gets caught.
Ticket support, not just a report channel
Every report gets an owner and a thread you can follow, so you know whether anything happened. Open a ticket.
Staff applications are open
The team is not a closed circle of friends. If you want to help run this, you can apply.
Two ladders: Facecheck and Scrim
Separate ladders for separate skills, so a good duel record does not get diluted by team results and the other way round.
Copper through Champion
A tier ladder with published requirements, so you always know what the next rank actually asks of you.
Seasons reset every two months
Short enough that a bad start is recoverable, long enough that a rank means something. Each closed season stays published as a permanent archive.
Stat timings are delayed and randomised
Public stats normally tell anyone watching when you are online and what you are doing. Ours update on a rolling, randomised cycle, so the leaderboard cannot be used to track you or time a stream snipe. No other Rust server publishes this.
Six leaderboards, not one
Combat, Gather, Farming, PvE, Raiding and Hunter. Being good at Rust is several different things and one table hides most of them. See the leaderboards.
Low ping hosting in your region
Hosted where the players are instead of routing you to another continent and calling the result acceptable.
More regions over time
Each region is added as a real deployment with its own server page, wipe schedule and ping figures, not as a line on a marketing page.
Play in Turkish, Arabic, Farsi or English
The site, the guides, the Discord and the support queue, not just a translated menu bolted onto an English server.
Wipe times in your local time
Schedules are published per region in local time, so you are not converting time zones to work out whether you can be there for the first hour.
2x vanilla plus, weekly wipe
Gather and smelting move, the parts of Rust that make a wipe worth playing do not. What 2x changes.
A custom practice server with arenas and gamemodes
Built for the fights, without a wipe cycle standing between you and the practice.
Bot aim training
Mechanical reps against bots for warmup, live arenas for the part bots cannot teach. How aim training works.
Cooldown and stacking rules are published
You can read what kits do and what limits they carry before you decide whether this server is fair. Kits explained.
Monthly prize events
Regular events with real prizes, run on a schedule rather than whenever the server needs a population boost.
A public roadmap
Shipped items sit above planned ones and carry dates. Nothing unshipped gets a date, because a missed date on a public roadmap does more damage than no roadmap.
A creator programme
Support for people making content in the languages this community actually plays in. Meet the creators.
